January 23, 2018This is the forward view of the flap valve installed at Holegate Beck in York. The flap is made from HDPE and due to its size has Stainless steel strengthening strips to hold the door square. the Davit arm was installed to allow the door to be held open on occasions when the upstream channel had hi water levels and needed flushing away. the Davit arm could be dismantled and stored off site.
